Day 37 & 38 – Lazy Days

Wednesday, November 26th – Thursday, November 27th

Baton Rouge, FL

The past two days have been lovely and lazy.  We’ve spent most of our time talking and sharing stories, eating, sleeping and watching TV.   It was fantastic!  We made one excursion to the grocery store, but didn’t do any riding after that.  It’s makes for poor blogging, but the visit is something I’ve meant to do for the past few years and was delightful even if long overdue.

An added bonus, Tiffany’s friend Karen invited us to her house to join her Thanksgiving celebration.  We got to meet several of their friends while we enjoyed a huge, delicious Thanksgiving spread of all the tasty standards (potatoes, yams, green bean casserole, etc.) and an moist, beautifully seasoned turkey.  Needless to say, we went back for seconds.  There really is nothing quite like a homecooked meal.  Karen even sent us home with two plates of leftovers.  Yum!

We’ve been watching the weather, and originally the reports said we’d have rain Wednesday afternoon through Saturday morning, but be have yet to see any rain or even any storm clouds.  Now they say to expect rain over the weekend.  I wish they’d make up their minds!
