Day 19 & 20 – Seminar Days

Saturday, November 8th to Sunday, November 9th

Titusville,  FL

Nothing to report here.  With Titusville being so unfriendly toward bikes, we decided to park them until we needed to leave the city.  I walked to a nearby hotel to hitch rides with other seminar attendees (Thank you brothers Joe and Mark!) and Dad spent all of his time on foot in and around the motel.

The seminar was mainly held at the Police Hall of Fame in Titusville, but on Saturday, we met on a beach in Cape Canaveral.  It was a beautiful day and after our training, some of us jumped in the ocean to cool off.  I may have had the opportunity as a child, but this is the first time I can remember swimming in the Atlantic.  It’s so different than swimming in the Gulf.  Maybe it was just the particulars of the day, but the waves were larger, the sand more level, and there was less debris and less marine life.  The water temperature was perfect, too.  Would have been a nice day for a ride.
