Day 12 – Resting in Waco
Friday, June 19th
Waco, TX
With me unable to eat and the weather websites reporting 15+ mph winds out of the South for today, we decided to take the day off. I picked up Dad from Mary’s and we spent the morning trying to repair my busted computer. We took it apart and inspected and cleaned the insides, on the off-chance that that would help. Unfortunately, it didn’t.
We met Lee for lunch and brought him the computer to let him have a shot at it. Meanwhile, we went out to Crawford to hang out with my cousin, eager to have her show us her new kittens.

When my aunt arrived home from work we visited with her for a bit before heading back into Waco for happy hour with Lee, Caitlin and her husband, Adam at a little local steakhouse called Diamondbacks.
We arrived too late for happy hour, but a few of us ordered mojitos thinking they would only be a dollar or two more than the happy hour price. We got the check a found out they were almost three times as much. We paid $11 per drink and immediately sobered up from whatever tiny buzz those drinks could have provided.
To balance out the drinks, we went to Luby’s for dinner.
After dinner, I was too exhausted to do anything else, so I fell asleep and Lee took Dad back to Mary’s.
