For Friends and Family
Posted by admin on February 27th, 2010 filed in travelMy sister is still down in Santiago. We were pretty worried this morning, but amazingly, the city hasn’t lost all communication and power lines. So for those family members who may be wondering, she and her boyfriend and all her flatmates are ok. We have two friends who were spending time near Concepcion and we haven’t heard from them yet. So please keep Jano and Carissa in your prayers.
Update: Just heard from a friend that Jano and Carissa are ok, that they got picked up by someone from the US Embassy and are on their way back to Santiago! Hallelujah!

Jano’s family lives just outside Concepcion and though the damage in Santiago was bad, it sounds like it will take a long time to restore Concepcion and it’s neighboring communities to what they were. Thankfully he and Carissa and his family are ok.
