Valparaíso Photo Tour

As mentioned in my last post, I’ve fallen a bit behind.  Today’s post is about a trip I took beginning October 17th.  Valparaíso is an amazingly unique port city; it’s like none other I have seen.  As it has only a couple level streets, walking the town is great exercise and offers the chance to admire all of the colorful, creative graffiti prevalent throughout the city.

The port (which, until the opening of the Panama Canal, was the major port for ships circumventing the Southern tip of South America) remains active with cargo ships, tourist boats and the Chilean Naval Fleet (seen in the background below):
