Bike-about Texas

So the bike trip to Long Island didn’t work out this summer.  We’re still planning to do it, just maybe not until next year. Instead, starting today we’re going to ride around East, North and Central Texas.  I’ll be blogging the trip like last time, but I’ll also be rearranging the website (consequently many of the Floride pages will end up elsewhere – if you were wondering).  Eventually all the bike logs will be cataloged on a single ‘Bike Log’ page.  Eventually I’ll write up an equipment list but for info on the bikes, check out my dad’s website (synthetictransport.com) or Bacchetta’s website (bacchettabikes.com), specifically here and here for my bike and here for Dad’s bike.

For this trip we don’t have any specific goal in mind, so I look forward to any suggestions you can send regarding points of interest, good places to stay or restaurants we shouldn’t miss.  If you think you might be in our area and would like to join us for a ride, contact me asap.  We’d love to have you come along, whether for a couple miles, a couple hours or a couple days!  Otherwise, send me your address if you’d like a postcard.
